AlterEgo -- Adorable Mesh Creations & Poll

There is a poll running on the AlterEgo site regarding feelings on mesh designs.  I think this is a great idea, because there are various feelings about mesh creations.  So, now is your chance to make your feelings known by voting in the poll!

As for my feelings on mesh, when the designs are great, I love it!  Toxxic Rhiannyr, owner and designer of AlterEgo , has released several fantabulous mesh creations recently and I am thrilled to share a few of my favorites.  Both designs are fun and flirty, and the blocking of the colors is a perfect way to set off the style of the dresses.

So much excitement!

A friend of mine and her partner have been working hard getting Chrome Nightclub ready for opening on Sunday and planning the grand opening a little afterward.  I don't envy them the work, but I'm really excited about the opening!

With all the excitement of the opening, this brought the eternal question of "What do I wear?"  I don't like to wait until the last minute for finding an outfit; therefore,  I headed to AlterEgo  to check out the new creations by Toxxic Rhiannyr.  I quickly found the answer to my dilemma in the Nadia dress for only $L90!  The dress is available in red, purple, pink, gray, green, blue, aqua, and black.  I decided to go with the red for the event! 

I'd like to think that Toxxic thinks about possible accessories when creating her designs.  It seems everything she creates will allow different styles of jewelry and still look amazing!  The scoop neck design of Nadia allows for chokers, and various lengths of necklaces.  This dress would also be perfect if you wanted to show off a tattoo!

Of course, another eternal question came about after I found my outfit and that was "What do I do with my hair?" After a bit of looking at Tameless Hair, I was drawn to Sienna for it's sexy but classy style.   I loved the bangs falling over one eye and the tendrils falling around the face.  As much as I loved the front of the style, the back of the style took my breath away.  The back is swept up in four different sized loops with short whips of hair escaping from a few of the loops. In a word, this style is sensational!

Gift from AlterEgo -- Flowa Powa

I really feel for Toxxic Rhiannyr, owner and designer of AlterEgo.  Due to lack of communication of a hunt coordinator, Toxxic withdrew AlterEgo from a hunt for which she had already created an amazing prize.  I can't imagine her frustration over the issue.  Nor can I imagine the time and effort she put into creating the prize. 

Not only do I feel for Toxxic, I have even more respect for her as a designer and business woman.  She could have sold Flowa Powa, the item created for the hunt, to gain some monetary compensation for her time and frustration; however, as Flowa Powa was to be a free prize in the hunt, she gave the item to her group members through a notice and also set it out as a free gift to the public.  I think that decision deserves a round of applause!

Of course, Flowa Powa is also deserving of a round of applause!  The adorably sexy outfit includes the top, skirt, boots, fishnet covers, gloves, bracelets, and the totally cute backpack!  You couldn't ask for more from an outfit!

I have fallen in love with a totally adorable outfit from AlterEgo named Social Butterfly!  It seems I'm not the only one who adores the beautifully colored T-shirt and the jeans with butterflies on the back pockets!  I have worn this outfit a few times shopping in the last week and have received numerous compliments on it!

Jewelry stores are usually dangerous places to a shopper's linden balance; however, at J & W Jewelers, you will find a fantastic selection of high quality jewelry that will fit every occasion and almost every budget!   

During my most recent visit to J & W Jewelers, my eye was caught by the Dru Erin Collection.  I adore the artistic detail and the versatility of the set!  The Dru Erin Collection includes the earrings and necklace and is available in ruby, amethyst, sapphire, emerald, cameo and amethyst, and dark ruby.  As luck would have it, the dark ruby set was on special and I picked it up for L$150! 

While I was looking around, I also fell in love with the Jade collection.  I loved the elegance and delicacy of the creation.  The Jade Collection includes the earrings, necklace, and lovely bracelet.  The collection is available in amethyst, emerald, cobalt, ruby, quartz crystal, blue sapphire, aqua marine, and dark pink ice.  On my way into another part of the store, I noticed that the dark pink ice was on special for L$20!  I almost felt like I was stealing the set at the time I purchased it!

As I wandered about next room of J & W Jewelers, I noticed a wall of discounted items.  When I saw the LesLey set on sale for L$10 and I had to have it!  The set is simply stunning and I've already had several compliments on it!

I don't know about you, but I love jeans!  I had to do a little shopping over the weekend and I have to tell you about my two newest wardrobe additions from AlterEgo!

AlterEgo -- For the Love of the Mini

AlterEgo called my name today, and I listened!  Who am I to ignore the call of shopping destiny? 

If you remember from an earlier entry, I had store credit burning a hole in my purse from the Black Out party on the 12th, and I was very eager to use it!  I spent a long time roaming about the store and evaluting which outfits to add to my closet.

The AlterEgo Party--Finally!

I finally had time to go through the items from the unbelievable party at AlterEgo celebrating the first birthday of the business.  Toxxic closed to sim to all but group members and it was 24 hours of heaven for those who were able to attend! 

During the time I spent hunting for the 18 free outfits spread across the sim and shopping while I was hunting, I was able to sample the DJing talent of DJ Suki (Adriana Steampunk)!  She had the place jumping and was so much fun on mic! Can't wait to catch her again! You can see a small sample of the people she had on the dance floor on yesterday's blog post.

Oh, you caught the mention of 18 outfits?  Well, I just happen to have a photo of two of the outfits given away in the hunt! The photo on the left is 305-Red.  This adorably sexy outfit came with the tank, jeans, and the jacket! I absolutely love the jacket!  The photo on the right is of  Hoochie-Purple. Hoochie is fantastically fun and came with the mini-dress and stockings. I can't wait to turn some heads while wearing it!

Of course, while I was hunting for the free outfits, I had to make some purchases of my own! I couldn't resist the two outfits below.  The left photo is Bad Bitches - Aqua and the right photo is Revolution - Gray.  I've been having a lot of fun with Bad Bitches and I look forward to the fun I'll have while wearing Revolution.

A very good day!

Today turned into a fantastic day!

The AlterEgo party was beyond words!  The hunt was spectacular!  The gifts were amazing!  The music and company were smokin' hot!  To top off my visit, the sweet radom gift giver gave me a sexy outfit and I was also chosen by another random giver for a nice sum in store credit!  And I am one of those people who never win anything!  During a moment when I wasn't lagging I took a photo of the party.  I can safely say a good time was had by all!

I did a little hopping about today with hunts and decided to visit Purple Moon to take part in their hunt.  When I arrived, my mini-map filled with dots.  I thought to myself that the hunt must have very impressive gifts, but I also groaned because that many dots only meant an abundance of lag.  I was about to leave because I was unable to move to participate in the hunt; however, when I read the local chat I noticed a lot people were buzzing about a stunning gown.  As my good luck would have it, my arrival was just in time for the announcement of a new group member gift.  I, of course, paid the very small L$50 fee to join the group and waited to receive the group gift from the vendor.  After receiving the gown, I had to rush home to put it on to see it it was as stunning on as it was in the vendor photo. When I put on the items from the folder, I was shocked to see that the gift included the gown, jewelry and the hair piece.  Talk about generous group gifts!  Wow!!

Below is a photo of the group gift.  If you are like me, you don't always believe the vendor photos; therefore, I included a photo of myself in the gown for comparison.  If you don't already know me, you'll soon learn I am not a model and I do not touch-up photos...unless you count cropping as a touch-up.  lol
